The story behind the art:
The topic I'm getting into is "the origin's debate" (the evolution vs.
Creation topic). One extreme view is called Biblicism (Bible-only,
such as by Ken Ham), and the other Scientism (Science-only, such
as by Richard Dawkins). My position is a middle ground, similar to
that of geneticist Francis Collins. Therefore, the art is figuratively
giving the message “To know ‘total truth,’ both science and religion
should be consulted.” The picture illustrates a wizard mixing the
material from the Bible and science to create “total truth.”
Creative Specs:
The picture will be of a wizard pouring “stuff” from two labeled
large books (one in each hand) into a cauldron (a big pot), which
is set over a log-fire.
One book is labeled “The Holy Bible” and the other “Modern
Science”.
The wizard’s hat will have three stars showing. The star shape is
a "star of David"
The wizard’s face is a caricature of Francis Collins (images of him
are here: http://images.google.com/images?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-
8&rlz=1T4SUNA_enUS235US238&q=francis+collins&um=1&sa=N&tab=wi ). Francis
will not be labeled, so it is important that those who know him
would recognize him… and it is OK if the caricature is realistic or
funny-looking (accentuated features, etc.).
The wizard’s face looks something like he’s joyfully expecting an
interesting effect. The face should be in proportion to his body.
The pot is labeled “TOTAL TRUTH".
The picture is in full color. The background can be swirls, a
mountain range, a forest, volcano, whatever you like. The picture
should also look decent when printed in black and white, as from a
PC printer.

You guessed it...
I like old rustic scenes.
These paintings showcase the styles that I use ranging from
stylized to realism to impressionistic; whether in oil, water colour
and of course (my favorite) DIGITAL.
The Painting to the left is from the old black and white photo
above, which was my Grandfather's old barn just before they tore
it and the old home place down.
